Oval Observer collaborates with BusinessWorld to host Banking Conference in London
Oval Observer partners with BusinessWorld to conduct the 3rd India International Banking and Finance Summit on November 20-21, 2014 in London, UK. The conference is the third edition of the Summit with past versions being held in 2011 and 2012. The Banking Summit is expected to bring together large contingents of business leaders, financiers, investors, regulators and academia to deliberate upon the burgeoning infrastructure finance sector in India. The overhangs of non-performing assets and balance sheet stresses, viewed as a serious impediment to financial liquidity are seen as key issues that require resolution for the growth of this sector. A change of guard in the Indian Government has led to significant growth in investor-sentiment and confidence from the financial sector, with the Sensex touching record highs earlier this quarter. The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is widely seen as the vanguard of financial and economic reforms ushering in a new era in the Indian growth story. These developments provide tremendous opportunities for the global banking and finance sector to participate in what is widely seen as the start of a decade long bull run.
The India International Banking and Finance Summit is set over a 2 day period and is expected to bring nearly 500 participants representing the financial services industry from across the globe with a special focus on India. Some of the key issues that will be discussed are new instruments for financing, the use of technology in banking, banking the large Indian demographic dividend, private equity growth prospects, infrastructure investments and foreign banks participation in India. The Summit is being supported by partners from media and private sector such as LiveMint, ZeusEnviro and ETI Dynamics.
